In January I got to travel to Iceland and it’s honestly been one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited.

I will admit, a big part of me wanting to go was because I’ve been dying to see some snow, it's been far too long since we’ve had any here in England! Another reason is that it's home to one of my favourite musicians and biggest influences, Bjork.

We hired a car and went exploring all over. I’d recommend hiring a car just because there's so many beautiful spots outside of where the normal tourist shuttles go and if we didn’t do that then we would have missed what I think was my favourite part of the whole trip - this amazing natural spring.

Getting in was lovely, walking back out into the cold...not so much!

Whilst exploring you see so many small villages with cute churches out in the middle of nowhere, it would be a perfect place for a small secluded wedding surrounded by all the amazing scenery. We also climbed to the top of the Hallgrimskirkja Church which is in the center of reykjavik, less secluded but again, great views in every direction.

To top it all off the food everywhere was spectacular, and I think one of the things I miss most. We didn't have a single bad meal when we were over there and just thinking about it now is making me hungry!
I'd highly reccomend Iceland if you're thinking about going there, I'd love to go again in the summer too just so I can see it when it's all lush and green.
